I’m looking for some guidance. I teach at a school in NSW Australia. One of our problems is that the children’s hand balls get stuck in the gutters. At the moment the general assistant has to get a ladder to recover balls. As some of our buildings are historic, the gutters are 15+ feet of the ground

I was thinking about a pole mounted grabber that is controlled by a long string. I think it is a simple design but I’m unclear on the technical terms for what I want to make.

Would anyone be able to help?

Here in the states we have a company called “Gutter Helmet” or another called “LeafGuard” you could google them to find out if they make what you need.

Leaf-guard ? Like wide bottle-brush, but in 1~~2+ metre lengths…
