Anyone here have experience changing out the stock Ultimaker 2 hot end with an E3D-V6? I’m tired of dealing with the 2.85mm optimized setup and want to switch to 1.75mm. Specifically, I hate that most people sell 3.0mm filament, not 2.85 so the filament is a tight fit in the bowden tube, causing all sort of issues with our prints (under extrusion and filament grinding). Would love to move to something more standard.
Also, we’ve been having heater errors with our printer quite a bit recently as we push the machine to hotter temps (250+), and it seems like the E3D-V6 is built for temperatures higher than that.
Would love some thoughts and tips on this swap.
