Fabric 3D Printer

There is an interesting development from Disney: a fabric 3D printer they’ve been working on!

While it may not be exactly like a 3D printer you’re familiar with, it does create objects by stacking felt one piece at a time. The main difference is that it doesn’t extruder or form the felt, but rather, uses a laser cutter to cut the felt into the correct shapes before gluing them together. Pretty interesting.

What would be the first thing you would make if you had a fabric 3D printer (one that made better things than this, that is)?

The 3D printing inventor has made it even easier for any consumer to 3D print their own textiles through 3D Systems’ new Fabricate platform. [assignment valley][1]
